NBA Playoffs Day 11: Mavericks eliminate Spurs, Blazers hold on, Celtics and Magic go up 3-2

The Dallas Mavericks were able to put away the playoff fixture Spurs, to win their first series since their Finals run in 2006. The young Portland Trailblazers were able to hold on and stave off elimination by winning over the Houston Rockets, while the Boston Celtics and Orlando Magic win their games to get within 1 win of the next round.

NBA Playoffs Day 9: Cavs Sweep Pistons, Houston Wins By 1

The Cleveland Cavaliers completed a sweep of the Detroit Pistons to become the first team to advance to the next round, while Chicago and Orlando win to tie their respective series. In the Western Conference, Houston wins by a point to lead their series with Portland 3-1.

NBA Playoffs Day 7 Recap

LeBron James leads the Cavaliers to a commanding 3-0 series over the hapless Detroit Pistons, while Thaddeus Young scored with 2 seconds left to lead the Philadelphia 76ers to a win over the Orlando Magic. In the Western Conference, Luis Scola and the Rockets locked down Brandon Roy and the Blazers in winning their game to lead the series 2-1.

NBA Playoffs Day 5 Recap

The Orlando Magic were able to eke out a win over the Philadelphia 76ers to tie their series, Dwyane Wade and an awaken supporting cast led the Miami Heat to a win over the Atlanta Hawks, and Chauncey Billups is proving to be the x-factor for the Nuggets as they take a 2-0 series lead over the New Orleans Hornets.

NBA Playoffs Day 2 Recap

We’re now on day 2 of these NBA playoffs, with all the teams completing the first games of their quarterfinal match ups. Aside from one upset, the rest of the games today were routs by the upper seeded teams against their lower seeded opponents. So far, the story of these playoffs has been the injuries - whoever is the healthiest team seems to be winning the games. That said, each series has only got a game apiece, so it remains to be seen if this continues, or if some of the teams can get healthier and bounce back.
