While enlisting for subjects this coming semester, I decided to check on the list of PE subjects offered. PE subjects are free in UP and you can take more than the prescribed number, which is four. I noticed there are some activities they didn’t offer a few years ago and there are those that they [...]
Yesterday was Dionisia Pacquiao’s birthday. No no silly, Manny’s real name is not Dionisia, it’s his mom - or as the pun-crazy media has started calling her - Pacmom (uhh, right). She’s not quite as famous as her son (yet), but there’s no doubting her celebrity status. Echoing another blogger’s sentiments, who the hell does not know Dionisia Pacquiao?!?
If you’ve been anywhere outside your home for the past five years or so, then I’m sure you’ve seen one of those pink signs put up by MMDA. The most famous (or infamous, depending on your take on it) is the one which reads “Walang Tawiran, Nakamamatay.” At the time, the signage really made an [...]
Last Monday night, Sen. Ping Lacson was unable to attend an ANC forum for potential presidential candidates because he “fell ill.” On the same day, Christian Bautista missed performing at the coronation night of Binibining Isabela 2009 because he was hospitalized for a suspected case of dengue. The thing that fascinates me most about bottomless drinks is the impression that I will never end up lugi. Taking it to the extreme, if I drink large enough quantities the cost of the beverage per unit consumed will approach zero. I, in behalf of my pocket, find that very reassuring.
Last February, PAGASA announced that this year’s summer would be hotter than in the past. And boy did they get it right. It feels really really hot outside and the lack of wind isn’t helping either.
A few weeks ago I came across this interesting article in Wikipedia listing down some purportedly common misconceptions. It’s quite a long article, but everything is in bullet point so it’s quite easy to read. Depending on your interests you’d probably find some sections to be intriguing while others not so much. It covers history, politics, cooking, law, science, religion, technology, and sports.
